About Me
My name is Randi Brown and I'm currently a high school math teacher in Texas. I started my college education at Richland Community College and obtained my Associate of Science while attending University of Texas at Dallas. I graduated from UT Dallas I with a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Secondary STEM Education. I have had experience working with children as a swim instructor at Emler Swim School, as a Southern Methodist University summer youth and college prep intern, and as a high school AVID tutor for Carrolton-Farmers Branch ISD. At UT Dallas, I was apart of the UTeach program where STEM students work simultaneously towards their major and secondary teaching certification. Through UTeach I've gained the experience in teaching 5E lessons to elementary, middle school, and high school students as well as learning how to implement inquiry and project-based learning (PBL) within a classroom. I find it a joy to be able to teach and see student progress in their learning. With my love for youth and experience I believe I can make that happen in one class room at a time!
